Best Outfit Planning Apps for Daily Styling

Written by Bella Matias

Have you ever tried to envision an outfit in your mind, only to wish there was a better way to plan? If you were anything like me growing up, you watched the movie “Clueless” and needed the exact computer software that Cher used to customize her iconic outfits. Believe it or not, creating a fashionable look is now easier than ever with a plethora of outfit planning apps. Picking the right outfit may seem overwhelming with an extensive list of apps to choose from. Luckily, I have created a list of the most user-friendly and helpful ones that are available right now. Whether you’re looking for a place to upload pictures of your clothing or a calendar for outfit planning, these apps are sure to satisfy.

1. Pureple

Pureple offers some unique services, such as the ability to create a virtual closet. This tackles the well-known pain of not being able to see all the cute tops stuffed away in the depths of your drawers. Pureple allows you to choose pictures of clothing from the web or even upload your own pictures from your camera roll. The fun doesn’t stop at clothing items though. In fact, you can also incorporate shoes, accessories, makeup and hairstyles into the planning process. Curating a look is made even easier with various filtering options, ranging from color, brands, prices and seasons.

2. ShopLook

Shoplook facilitates your need for creativity with their “creative canvas” and a large variety of tools. The app aims to bring your imagination to life through moodboards, visionboards and visual effects. ShopLook even offers a platform to interact with other users and engage in challenges related to fashion and art. The app emphasizes connecting with the community by sharing and remixing designs. In fact, ShopLook has over 1 million creators that are able to design, plan and share their outfits everyday.

3. Stylebook

Stylebook is one of the most extensive fashion planning apps, offering over 90 different features. Not only can users express their creativity through building outfits, but Stylebook also offers statistics about your clothing. Some of these measures include item count, count of clothing by color, worn history and total closet value. An especially useful feature is the ability to search for items in your digital closet through categories such as color, brand, season, size and fabric. The app provides solutions to all your logistical needs, ranging from packing checklists to calendars that enable you to add daily outfit pictures.

4. Whering: Digital Closet Stylist

Whering offers a versatile collection of features from organization tools to a shopping marketplace. The app allows you to curate your closet, plan daily outfits and even upload your own photos that Whering can remove the background from. One of the most unique features the app has to offer is its AI fashion assistant, which is especially helpful when packing for a trip. While the app has so many practical and creative features, my personal favorite is the “Clueless”-inspired shuffle feature that lets you pair any top with any bottoms. This app might be better than what Cher was using in “Clueless” after all!
