INDIGENIZE: THE EXPERIENCE

In May of 2024, The Vault extended an invitation to every single cultural, ethnic, or indigenous organization on campus to participate in a celebration of heritage. The results were astounding. The Vault’s Indigenize Show focused on celebrating Indigenous cultures and fashion through a lens of authenticity, storytelling, and respect for traditional artistry. The event sought to amplify Indigenous voices and designers by showcasing garments and accessories that paid homage to Native traditions, incorporating sustainable materials and craftsmanship techniques that have been passed down through generations.

As one of the most impactful pillars of belief within The Vault, representing diversity, equity, and inclusion is increasingly important to our members. A longstanding aspect of our society without enough allocated awareness, representation deserves to be delineated just as significantly as it impacts our lives.
