Upcycling Workshop with NYFW fashion designer, Dovile Riebschlager
On April 20th, 2023, The Vault hosted NYFW designer Dovile Riebschlager for its first-ever interactive workshop event.
At The Vault’s workshop, Dovile shared her story as to how she developed her company, Doviart Fashion, which has a heart in artistic rebellion and showcases her skills that come from her background in textile chemical engineering and fine art. She then gave members a presentation on upcycling and a demonstration of how it can be seen in pieces from her collection.
Then, we all got to try our hand at up cycling and reworking old clothes! Members of The Vault cut, stitched, sewed and glued under the guidance of Dovile to produce some amazing reworked pieces!
It was truly a privilege to host such an inspirational and knowledgeable designer, and we can’t wait to host more workshops like this in the future!
